Significance of Rahu & Ketu
Rahu (North Lunar Node) from Tula to Kanni Rasi

All Devotees, especially the ones belonging to the following Rasis will benefit by sponsoring and participating in the above ceremonies (Parihara Pujas): Meena, Kumbha, Mithuna, Simha, Kanya & Dhanusu.
Rahu and Ketu denote the two points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon as they move around the celestial sphere. Therefore, Rahu and Ketu are respectively called the north and the south lunar nodes.
Rahu is ruler of the following Nakshatras: Ardra, Swathi and Shatabhisheka (Chathayam).
Ketu is ruler of the following Nakshatras: Ashwini, Magha and Moola Nakshaktras.
Rahu is ruled by Durga (Divine Mother aspect),and Ketu is ruled by Lord Ganesha.
Rahu Kaala Puja is performed for Divine Mother Parashakthi every Tuesday at 4 PM at the Temple.
From the Puranas:
Rahu and Ketu are not two entities. They represent the head and body parts of the Asura Swarabhanu. Swarabhanu attempted to obtain the nectar Amrutha by pretending to be a Deva. The Sun and moon noted that Swarabhanu was cheating and pointed him out to Maha Vishnu.
Maha Vishnu chopped off the head from Body. The head became Rahu and the body became Ketu.

Lord Hanuman and Rahu, Ketu and the Navagrahas:
Lord Hanuman is said to have captured Rahu at one time, when Bala Hanuman was trying to swallow the Sun and extracted a promise from Rahu that he will not harm any of Hanuman's devotees. Hanuman is also said to have released the Navagrahas from Ravana's clutches. The Navagraha blessed Hanuman with the words "People devoted to you are blessed by all of us".
Lord Hanuman also represents both Lord Siva and his consort Shakti and so worshiping him is like worshiping Siva Shakti.
Hanuman Chalisa Chanting is done at the Temple every Thursday and Saturday at 7:00 PM.
